The 2026 Mediterranean charter season brings an exceptional selection of superyachts to the market. Here are the ten vessels our specialists consider the finest available this summer.
How We Selected These Vessels
Our annual selection of the finest charter yachts in the Mediterranean is based on a combination of factors: the quality and condition of the vessel, the calibre of the crew, the breadth of the water toy inventory, the standard of the interior design, and — critically — the feedback of clients who have chartered these yachts in previous seasons. Every vessel on this list has been personally inspected by a member of the SYG Yachts charter team, and every crew has been vetted through our rigorous qualification process.
The 2026 season has brought several exceptional new builds to the Mediterranean charter market, alongside a number of established favourites that have undergone significant refits over the winter. The overall standard of the fleet has never been higher, and the competition for the finest vessels is intense — we recommend enquiring at least four to six months in advance for peak-season availability.
1. M/Y Serenity — 68m Feadship, from €420,000/week
Built by Feadship in 2022 and refitted in 2025, Serenity represents the pinnacle of Dutch superyacht craftsmanship. Her interior, designed by Remi Tessier, combines warm natural materials — bleached oak, Calacatta marble, hand-woven textiles — with a restrained palette that allows the Mediterranean light to dominate every space. She accommodates 12 guests in six staterooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces on the main and upper decks.
Serenity's beach club is one of the finest afloat — a full-beam space that opens directly to the sea, with a sauna, hammam, and a dedicated water sports platform. Her toy inventory includes two Seabobs, a Yamaha VX Cruiser, a Nautica 5.5m tender, and a custom-built hydrofoil board. Her chef, trained at Le Cordon Bleu and with experience at two Michelin-starred restaurants, is widely regarded as one of the finest in the charter fleet.
2. S/Y Athena — 58m Perini Navi, from €180,000/week
For those who prefer the romance of sail, Athena is the finest sailing superyacht available in the Mediterranean this season. Built by Perini Navi in 2019, she carries 1,800 square metres of sail and can reach 18 knots under canvas in the right conditions. Her interior, by Nauta Design, is a masterclass in understated luxury — teak and leather throughout, with a main saloon that feels more like a private members' club than a yacht.
Athena accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, and her crew of 12 includes two professional sailors who have competed at the highest levels of offshore racing. She is particularly well-suited to the Greek Islands, where the Meltemi provides reliable sailing breezes from June through September, and to the Balearics, where the combination of sailing and island-hopping is unmatched in the Mediterranean.
3. M/Y Apex — 52m Benetti, from €220,000/week
Apex is the newest addition to the Benetti charter fleet, delivered in late 2025 and making her charter debut in the Mediterranean this summer. Her exterior design, by Giorgio M. Cassetta, features a striking dark hull and a panoramic main deck saloon with 270-degree views. She accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with a private terrace and a spa bath.
Apex's technical specification is exceptional: twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L engines give her a top speed of 17 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her stabilisation system — both at anchor and underway — makes her one of the most comfortable vessels in her size class. Her toy inventory includes a custom-built submarine capable of diving to 100 metres, making her a unique choice for guests interested in underwater exploration.
4–10: The Rest of Our Selection
